Golden Hour is a video piece dedicated to the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement and the bravery of all women in Iran fighting for their fundamental rights. The movement started in September 2022 after the murder of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman from Iran's Kurdistan Province, by the Islamic Republic of Iran. This movement is led by women in Iran overwhelmed by the country's law, who were not only subjected to compulsory veiling but also gendered segregation and laws, including being banned from singing and dancing in the past forty years.
The Golden Hour video represents the golden era and the rise of women's strength and power who are not tolerating injustice and brutal segregation. Instead, they are raising a revolution with their light that brings shine to our world's darkest injustice and misogyny.
