A Night in the Life of La Pocha Nostra’s Vampires,

The Performance Art Museum has invited La Pocha Nostra to performatively activate the “Apartment” at Catch One on October 22.
This site-specific performance honors the LA nightlife scene - a longstanding fertile ground for radical art making and hosting interdisciplinary artists of all stripes. La Pocha Nostra’s one-night “take over” is inspired by this rich alternative history.
From 8:30 to 12:00, Gómez-Peña, Balitronica, Sarah Stolar, and additional LPN collaborators Shaghayegh Cyrous and Elle Mehrmand present an immersive experience of ghostlike images, sounds, rituals, and music that reference what Gómez-Peña terms “the dead end of western civilization.” La Pocha Nostra invites the audience to come dressed as their favorite nightclub vampire.
